This policy explains what information Full Name Generator ("we", "the site") handles when you use it. In short: the generators run entirely in your browser and we do not collect personal data.
Information We Collect
Local storage
The site stores a few preferences in your browser's local storage: your light/dark theme (theme), your accent colour (accent), the names and words you save with the star (favorites) and, if you close the sponsor bar, when you closed it (sp-top-hidden). They never leave your device and you can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Server logs
Like any website, the hosting provider may automatically record technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time of the request. These logs are used only for security and to keep the service running.
What we do not collect
Names, usernames and text that you generate or type are processed locally in your browser and are not transmitted to us. We do not ask for accounts, email addresses or payment details.
Analytics and sponsors
This build of the site does not include analytics or third-party advertising scripts. Sponsor slots are plain links served from this site, so showing them tells us and the sponsor nothing about you. When you click a sponsor link, the sponsor's site receives the visit with UTM parameters naming this site and the placement (for example utm_content=feed); its own privacy policy then applies.
Domain check (business name generator)
When the domain check is on, the business name page sends the domain names it looks up (for example maplebakery.com) from your browser to a public DNS service (Cloudflare cloudflare-dns.com, or Google dns.google as a fallback) and to the registry of the extension through RDAP (for example Verisign for .com). Only the domain is sent - no keywords you typed, no identifiers - but like any web request these services see your IP address and handle it under their own privacy policies. Results are cached in your browser's session storage (keys starting with dc:) for 30 minutes and are deleted when you close the tab. You can turn the check off under “More options”.
When you open the details of a name, your browser may also download Porkbun's public domain price list (api.porkbun.com) to show current prices. That request contains no name, domain or identifier; the list is kept in local storage (key pb:prices) for 12 hours.
The “Whois” button asks the same registry for the public registration record of that one domain (registrar, dates, status, name servers); nothing about you is included. The logo concepts are drawn in your browser with icons and fonts served from this site, so no third-party font or icon service is contacted, and downloads are created locally.
The “Register”, “Check” and “Full record on who.is” links open the registrar's or lookup service's page with the domain filled in. Some of them may be affiliate links: the registrar then knows that you came from this site, and we may earn a commission if you buy.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The site does not set cookies and does not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting.
Third-Party Services
Pages are self-contained and do not load fonts, scripts or images from third parties (the only outside requests are the optional domain lookups described above). External links (for example to data sources) are governed by the privacy policies of those sites.
Your Rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us and we will respond in accordance with applicable law (such as the GDPR).
